The publication is a collection of archival documents and texts of the late XIX – early XX century, dedicated to the projects of innovative museums in which the authors propose abolishing traditional institutional boundaries. Most of the material has not been published before, and is a forgotten part of the history of museums. Among them, these texts anticipate many discoveries of modern art of the XX and XXI centuries. The anthology is divided into three parts: the Russian Space Art (Cosmism), the historic avant-garde and the Marxist materialist dialectics. Among the authors are Nikolai Fyodorov, Andrey Platonov, Aleksandr Bogdanov, Mikhail Bekhterev, Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, Ivan Puning, Nadezhda Krupskaya, Alexander Fedorov-Davydov, and others.
