Time, Forward! presents new large scale installation, film and performance works by emerging and established international artists, seeking to question the notion and function of time and how it relates to new forms of consciousness, action and sight in the twenty-first century.
Thursday to Tuesday: 11am–7pm
These workshops are open to anyone who loves theatre and dance, to professionals and those who have never danced before, to all those who want to experience something new and are interested in collective practices and making change together. Choreographer Barbara Toma and artist Emilio Fantin invite you to explore the stories that our bodies remember through physical theatre and dance.
13 new commissions explore the notion and function of time in the 21st Century.
Time, Forward! is a project by Omar Kholeif, Maria Kramar and V–A—C that seeks to question the notion and function of time and how it relates to new forms of consciousness, action and sight in the twenty-first century. V-A-C Foundation has commissioned 13 new works by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists, who activated a collaborative dialogue a year before the project launched, intertwining their ideas and they were asked to imagine and suggest strategies to cope with the accelerated digital time. When our lives are deluged with images, tweets, real and fake information, can we embrace tools or positions of resistance that will help us improve our living conditions?
